Frequently asked

Will the output be one big paragraph?+

Each cue becomes its own line, preserving the natural breaks. If you want a single paragraph, copy the result and reflow it in your editor.

Does it remove duplicate words?+

No — Whisper and other STT tools occasionally repeat words across cue boundaries. This converter is intentionally lossless; pass the result through your editor or an LLM if you want cleanup.

Can I do the reverse — text to SRT?+

Not from raw text alone, since SRT needs timestamps. The fastest path is uploading your video to the SoCaptions editor — Whisper transcribes and times it for you.
